The internet is full of advice.
Every day
the internet wakes up with a new rule for how you should run your business.
Post every day.
Actually don’t post every day.
Make reels.
Long form is back.
Batch your content.
Build an email list.
Start a Substack.
Substack is dead.
Be authentic.
Whoah, too authentic, you weirdo.
If you spend enough time listening to it all, you will eventually feel like you are the only person who hasn’t cracked the code yet.
Online advice is made to spread, it’s made to stop you in your tracks and say, “oh shit.”
Someone tries something that works for them and they take that one experience and turns it into a universal rule.
But maybe they already had an audience, maybe they have a different personal life, maybe they don’t have any values whatsoever.
Now thousands of business owners are trying to copy a system that was built for someone else’s business, someone else’s energy and someone else’s priorities.
This is where things start to break.
The internet will always tell you the same thing:
If it doesn’t work, try harder.
Boo, hiss.
Your business should not be built around someone else’s personality.
Your visibility should not depend on whether you can perform like a content creator.
Your growth should not require you to buy course after course.
A few years ago I realized the system I needed didn’t exist.
What I needed was a way to actually understand my business well enough to build something around it.
That’s where The Control System came from.
I’ve spent 15-years paying attention to how real businesses work.
From Etsy shop side-hustles to 6-figure brands, some need help clarifying what they want to be known for, whether it’s structure that makes showing up online feel easier or systems that allow them to grow without burning themselves out every three months.
Your business deserves better than forcing yourself into someone else’s system. You deserve something that fits the way you think, the way you work and the way you want to show up in the world.
Sometimes the best business decision you can make is looking at the latest “proven strategy” and saying, with your whole chest, fuck that.
